§ 34-200. Amendments—Generally
This article, including the county zoning maps, may be amended from time to time, but no amendment shall become effective unless it shall have been proposed by, or shall first have been submitted to the planning commission for review and decision. The planning commission shall have 45 days from the first public hearing at which the amendment is considered to make a recommendation. If the planning commission fails to make a recommendation within the 45-day period, it shall be deemed to have approved the proposed amendment and it will be forwarded to the county commissioner for a final decision. Action shall not be initiated for a zoning amendment affecting the same parcel more often than once every 12 months.
